Climate change - National and other state resources

The are a number of websites from other state goverments, the Australian government and national research institutes examining climate change.

The Garnaut Climate Change Review has been commissioned by Australia's Commonwealth, state and territory governments to examine the impacts, challenges and opportunities of climate change for Australia.

Australia's Future Climate - CSIRO

Provides climate change projections and suggested impacts for Australia.

Australian greenhouse office

Provides informaiton on cutting greenhouse emmisions and provides a whole of government approach to climate change and greenhouse matters.

Centre for Australian weather and climate research

This centre is a partnership between the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO to ensure that Australia remains a world leader in climate, weather and oceans research so that it can meet the severe weather and climatic challenges that continue to confront the nation.

Climate change risks and opportunities (WA)

The WA Department's Climate Risks and Opportunities Project conducts research and development in key areas of climate variability, climate change, crop yield forecasting, climate forecasting, weather monitoring and decision support systems to improve the adoption of profitable and sustainable farming systems to manage climate risks.

Climate change (WA)

The Department of Environment and Conservation is responsible for coordinating a whole of government response to climate change. It also coordinates the implementation of the Western Australian Greenhouse Strategy, 2004, and are developing the WAGGI WA Greenhouse Gas Inventory, which will provide a means for industry and government to report their emissions.
