Tasmanian Agricultural Productivity Group

The Tasmanian Agricultural Productivity Group (TAPG) brings together primary producers, the agricultural manufacturing sector, agribusiness (services to agriculture) and Government.

Almond Board of Australia

The Australian almond industry is undergoing rapid expansion, becoming one of the fastest growing horticulture industries in Australia.

Australian blueberry growers association inc.

The Australian Blueberry Growers Association (Incorporated) was formed to represent the industry and has continued in that capacity to this day. A magazine of significance is regularly produced.

Australian Farm Institute

The Australian Farm Institute has been established to conduct research into public policy issues impacting on the Australian farm sector, and to promote policy solutions that maximise the economic and social wellbeing of farmers

Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (AIAST)

Membership of AIAST is open to Agricultural Science graduates working in agriculture and the natural resource environment or related discipline. Membership is also open to those with agricultural or related experience and who demonstrate equivalence to formal qualifications.

Australian Mushroom Growers Association

The peak body for mushroom growers.

Australian Vegetable and Potato Growers Federation

AUSVEG is the peak national industry body representing the interests of Australian vegetable and potato growers.

Churchill Fellowship

A Churchill Fellowship provides financial support, to enable Australian citizens from all walks of life to travel overseas to undertake an analysis, study or investigation of a project or an issue that cannot be readily undertaken in Australia. Currently the average Fellowship cost is $25,000.

Cradle Coast property management planning project

The next round of this project is now underway with funding allocated for 50 property management plans in the Cradle Coast NRM region.

DairyTas

DairyTas is the Tasmanian service delivery arm of Dairy Australia. Investing farmer levies and other funds to support the Tasmanian Dairy Industry. DairyTas' main aim is to identify, prioritise, promote, facilitate and leverage opportunities for research, development and extension activities in the Tasmanian dairy industry which will assist dairy farmers to manage change.

Future Farmers Network

This network is a national not-for-profit organisation that has been set up to encourage and support young people as they pursue and continue careers in agriculture and its related fields.

Grasslands Society

The Grassland Society of Southern Australia Inc. is the peak farmer organisation dedicated to the transfer of information and technology related to temperate grasslands. Formed in 1959, the Society has branches in South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and southern New South Wales and welcomes new members with an interest in grassland farming.

Lambplan

Sheep Genetics is a joint program of Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) and Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA).

Managing remnant bush and riparian areas in the Tamar region

On-ground assistance to landholders in the George Town, Launceston and West Tamar municipalities (and adjacent areas) to conserve and manage native vegetation and increase agricultural production through assistance with fencing, off-stream stock facilities, weed control and management advice.

Mensheds Australia

Mensheds Australia is a not-for-profit Australian organisation dedicated as the peak body, to resourcing and supporting Men's Sheds. The growing problems with men's health, isolation, loneliness and depression are now looming as major health issues in Australia. Men’s Sheds can play a significant and practical role in addressing these and other men’s issues and at the same time act as a catalyst in stimulating their community's economic activities.

Mentor Resources of Tasmania

Mentor Resources of Tasmania (MRT) provides FREE mentor guidance and assistance to new and existing small businesses and community groups.

National Farmers Federation

The National Farmers' Federation (NFF) is the peak national body representing farmers and, more broadly, agriculture across Australia.

Network of concerned farmers

The "Network of Concerned Farmers" is an Australia-wide network of conventional and organic farmers who are concerned about the economic, environmental and social impacts of genetically modified crops.

NRM in Tasmania

There are three NRM regional groups in Tasmania working with farmers to address natural resource management needs and concerns. Includes information on funding opportunities.

PROGRAZE courses

PROGRAZE is a grazing management skills course for sheep and beef producers which puts pasture and animal management skills together, to improve grazing decisions on the farm, and more effectively meet production and sustainability goals.

Protective Agricultural Safety and Support inc (PASS)

PASS Inc is a “Not for Profit”, grass roots organization, passionate about safety in the rural workplace that aims to eliminate fatalities, and injuries in rural workplaces.

Red Meat Targets Program

The Red Meat Targets program aims to increase the gross margin of red meat enterprises (beef and sheep meat) by at least 10 per cent over the next five years.

SheepConnect

SheepConnect-Tasmania is the third phase of Australian Wool Innovation’s nine year investment in extension for the Tasmanian sheep and wool industries.

Southern Farming Systems

A farmer-driven non-profit organisation undertaking research and extension programs in the 'high rainfall and cool climate' region of Southern Australia.

Sustainable farm families

The innovation of Sustainable Farm Families (SFF) has been to contextualise farming family health in the familiar triple bottom line farm-reporting format. Farm family health, is now being recognised by families and their organisations as an important resource for investment of substantial individual time and funding.

Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association (TFGA)

The Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association (TFGA) is the peak body representing the interests of Tasmanian farmers and has about 5,000 members.

Tasmanian Quality Assured Inc.

TQA is a not-for-profit incorporated association which co-ordinates quality assurance for the production and service sectors of Tasmanian primary industry.

TOPCROP (DPIW)

The TOPCROP program is a farmer-focussed information network based on monitoring and setting targets for crops, pastures and finances to increase profitability and sustainability.
