Bobby calf National Vendor Declaration (NVD) forms can now be downloaded onto home computers using free software available through Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA). Hard copy books of NVD forms will also be available for purchase.
Anyone intending to sell calves less than six weeks of age will need a bobby calf NVD. The Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) bobby calf NVD can now be downloaded from www.mla.com.au/lqs
To do so click on the access the LPA bobby calf NVD link, then enter your property identificaton code (PIC) and LPA user ID number. Once the program is downloaded, save it to your computer and you will no longer need to be connected to the internet to generate further NVDs.
If you encounter any problems, contact the NVD hotline on 1800 683 111 between the hours of 9am and 5pm and select option two.
