The Dairy Reference group is made up of 20 dairy industry stakeholders. The group comprises representatives from State Government Departments, Centrelink, Circular Head Council, Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association, DairyTas, Rural Financial Counselling Service, National Foods, Fonterra, Cadbury's and banks.
The group has the task of providing a whole of industry perspective on the issues currently facing the dairy industry. The immediate role for the group is to prioritise actions stakeholders can implement to address the physical, financial and social challenges caused by low milk prices and compounded by continued wet weather.
