There are a range of Private Land Conservation Programs available addressing vegetation management and conservation on private land.

Australian Natural Resources Atlas

Provides access to information on natural resource issues facing agriculture, coasts, dryland salinity, irrigation, land, natural resource economics, rangelands, soils, vegetation, biodiversity, water.

Native vegetation - Department of Environment and Water Resources (Aust Govt)

Provide information about Australian Government policies and activities, developed and implemented by the Department of the Environment and Water Resources, which encourage and support the sustainable management of Australia's native vegetation.

Native Vegetation Regional Pilot Projects

The $2 million Native Vegetation Regional Pilot Projects initiative under the Natural Heritage Trust involves the Australian Government working collaboratively with state and territory governments, industry groups and the natural resource management regions to test ways to improve arrangements for sustainable native vegetation management on farms.

NRM review final report

Released in June 2008, this report contains 18 recommendations to improve and refine the NRM framework. The recommendations cover matters including the setting of State NRM priorities, the functions and membership of the Regional Committees, and the operation of the NRM Council, and will involve some minor amendments to the legislation and the Framework.

The Toolkit provides landowners and community groups with a comprehensive guide to the management and conservation needs of native bush. The toolkit covers a wide variety of topics including bush on your farm, different vegetation types, threatened species, revegetation and weed management.
