Synoptic Situation
A high pressure ridge will extend over Victoria on Monday while a weak coldfront crosses Tasmania. The high pressure system will move across Victoria onTuesday to eventually reach the Tasman Sea later on Wednesday ahead of a troughof low pressure later in the west on Thursday.

Victoria. Central Coast, Cape Otway to WilsonsPromontory: Strong wind warning for Victorian waters between SA-VICBorder and 60nm east of Gabo Island
Monday until midnight:  Winds: Westerly 20 to 30 knots decreasing to15 to 25 knots during the afternoon. Seas: 2 to 3 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 2to 3 metres. Swell: Southeasterly 0.5 metres.
Tuesday:  Winds: West to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching 25knots in the south then tending west to southwesterly 10 to 20 knots by earlyevening. Seas: 1.5 to 3 metres decreasing 1 to 2 metres by early evening. Swell:Westerly 3 to 4 metres decreasing below 2 to 3 metres from midday.
Wednesday:  Winds: Westerly 10 to 15 knots tending southwesterly upto 10 knots during the afternoon then tending northeast to southeasterly up to15 knots during the evening. Afternoon inshore breezes around 15 knots. Seas:Below 1 metre. Swell: Westerly about 2 metres.

Monday until midnight:  Winds: West to southwesterly 20 to 30 knotsdecreasing to 15 to 25 knots by early evening. Seas: 2 to 4 metres. Swell:Southwesterly about 2 metres. Swell: Southeasterly about 1 metre abating.
Tuesday:  Winds: West to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots tending westto southwesterly up to 25 knots around midday then easing back to 10 to 20 knotsin the evening. Seas: 1 to 2 metres increasing to 3 metres during the afternoonthen decreasing to 2 metres by early evening. Swell: Westerly 2 to 3 metres.

Monday until midnight:  Winds: West to southwesterly 20 to 30 knotsdecreasing to 15 to 25 knots by early evening then decreasing to 10 to 20 knotsinshore later in the evening. Seas: Up to 3 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 to3 metres decreasing below 2 metres late this evening. Swell: Southeasterly about1 metre during the day becoming below 0.5 metres.
Tuesday:  Winds: Northwest to southwesterly 5 to 15 knots, reaching20 knots at times. Seas: Up to 2 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 to 3 metres.
Wednesday:  Winds: Southwesterly 5 to 15 knots tending northeasterlyduring the evening. Afternoon inshore breezes around 15 knots. Seas: Up to 1.5metres. Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 metres.

Monday until midnight:  Westerly winds 20 to 30 knots, 35 knotslocally at first, easing to 15 to 25 knots late afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 metres.Westerly swell building to 4 to 5 metres.
Tuesday:  West to northwest winds 15 to 25 knots easing to 10 to 20knots late afternoon. Seas to 2 to 3 metres. Westerly swell 4 to 5 metres,decaying to near 4 metres later.
Wednesday:  Westerly winds 10 to 20 knots, easing to 5 to 15 knotsin the morning then tending variable in the evening. Seas mostly 1 to 1.5metres. West to southwest swell near 4 metres, although 2 to 3 metres in thenorth, slowly decaying.

Monday until midnight:  Westerly winds 20 to 30 knots, 35 knotslocally at first, easing to 15 to 25 knots in the evening. Seas to 2 to 3metres. Westerly swell rising to 2 to 3 metres in the west, grading to 1 to 2metres in the east.
Tuesday:  West to northwest winds 15 to 25 knots, reaching 30 knotslocally in the morning, easing to 10 to 20 knots in the evening. Seas near 2metres. Westerly swell 2 to 3 metres in the west, grading to 1 to 2 metres inthe east, slowly decaying.
Wednesday:  Westerly winds 10 to 20 knots, easing to 5 to 15 knotsin the evening and tending northwest. Seas 1 to 1.5 metres. Westerly swell near2 metres in the west, grading to below 1 metre in the east.


Tasmania. Banks Strait and Franklin Sound:
A Gale Warning is current.
Monday until midnight:  Westerly winds 20 to 30 knots, 35 knots attimes in Banks Strait, easing to 15 to 25 knots in the evening. Seas to 2 to 3metres. Westerly swell 1 to 1.5 metres.
Tuesday:  West to northwest winds 15 to 25 knots, 30 knots at timesin Banks Strait till evening. Seas to 2.5 metres. Westerly swell 1 to 1.5metres.
Wednesday:  West to northwest winds 15 to 25 knots, 30 knots atfirst in Banks Strait, gradually easing to 5 to 15 knots by evening. Seas 2 to 3metres, abating. Chiefly westerly swell to 1 metre.
