Coastal Overview

Friday until midnight:
South to southwest winds 15 to 25 knots easing to 10 to 20 knots during the morning and 5 to 15 knots later. Winds tending more southwest to westerly during the day. Seas 1.5 to 2.5 metres at first, easing to 1 to 2 metres during the morning.
Swells:
West and South: West to southwest to 4 to 5 metres decaying to 3 to 4 metres.
North: Chiefly westerly 1 to 1.5 metres.
East: Southerly to 2 metres.

Saturday:
West to southwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Seas 1 to 2 metres.
West and South: West to southwest 3 to 4 metres.
North: Chiefly westerly around 1 metre.
East: Southerly 1 to 2 metres.

Sunday:
West to southwest winds mostly 10 to 20 knots tending west to northwesterly during the day. Seas 1 to 2 metres.
West and South: West to southwest 3 to 4 metres.
North: Chiefly westerly around 1 metre.
East: Southerly 1 to 2 metres.

A strong high over the Bight extends a ridge over Tasmania in the wake of a cold front. A weak warm front passes south of Tasmania this evening.
