Round 2 of the FarmReady Industry Grants now open
FarmReady is calling for applications from agriculture, fishing and forestry industry organisations, natural resource management (NRM) groups and primary producer groups aiming to increase their industries' self reliance and preparedness to adapt to climate change and climate variability.
The FarmReady program offers an opportunity for industry and regional groups to be part of one the government's key activities to address the challenges of climate change across Australia. FarmReady Industry Grants of up to $80 000 per financial year are available to eligible groups to undertake projects that deliver tangible outcomes and develop strategies to help their members adapt to climate change.
Guidelines and application forms for the FarmReady Industry Grants are available at http://www.daff.gov.au/climatechange/australias-farming-future. FarmReady Industry Grants is a competitive and discretionary grants program and proposals are considered on merit.
Applications for Round 2 will close at 5pm AEST on 30 September 2009

FarmReady is a component of the Australian Government's Australia's Farming Future initiative. The program aims to boost uptake of risk management and business management skills, increase the use of new technologies and best practice management to enable primary producers and industries to adapt and respond to the impacts of climate change.
