A free report is now available to dairy farmers providing them with detailed reports of their herd's mastitis status.
An initiative of Dairy Australia, the Countdown Mastitis Focus report is designed to give farmers and their advisers a clear picture of what's happening in their herd, help them identify risk areas and monitor the effect of any mastitis control effects.
Information about clinical case management at calving and during lactation, the spread of subclinical infection, and the success of previous drying-off strategies are outlined in the report and compared against the countdown 'triggers' for action.
