TFGA drought event assistance

Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) has received an allocation of $100,000 from the Tasmanian Government to provide support to social events and activities in the drought affected parts of Tasmania.  Funds will be available for a variety of purposes to support activities and events that provide a social outlet for individuals and the community, and provide linkages to drought support services and service providers.

There are no restrictions on who is able to apply for funding support, and it is expected applications will come from individuals, community groups, schools, local organisations, drought service providers, and other agencies and organisations working in and for drought affected parts of Tasmania.

Applicants must be able to supply a tax invoice and ABN and have public liability insurance.  Those who do not have these will need to find an appropriate incorporated body through which to lodge an application.

There are no limits on the amount of funding available per application.  Applications will be judged on their merits and consideration will be given to the anticipated benefits from each event or activity, and to the geographic spread of events and activities across the drought areas.
